At around 12:13 PM on November 18, 2025, while on patrol, Mr. Bui Duy Tam, a Phu My Hung security guard, discovered smoke and flames rising from a restaurant on Phan Khiem Ich Street, Hung Gia 2, Tan Hung Ward. He immediately reported the incident to the duty office to mobilize firefighting forces for support.
Upon arrival, responders found that the industrial smoke duct connected to the BBQ oven and leading to the front façade was burning intensely. The Phu My Hung security team promptly initiated on-site firefighting, deployed a mini water truck, and simultaneously alerted the Tan Hung Ward Police for assistance. During the operation, the team used a total of 21 fire extinguishers along with two of the restaurant’s water hoses to contain the blaze.
By 12:21 PM, Tan Hung Ward Police had arrived to coordinate firefighting efforts. One minute later, Phu My Hung’s mini water truck joined in, continuing to spray water to cool the affected area. By 12:25 PM, the fire was completely extinguished, resulting in no human casualties but causing damage to the restaurant’s entire industrial smoke extraction system.
Initial inspection indicated that the fire was caused by a long-uncleaned smoke extraction system, leading to grease buildup that eventually ignited. After the incident, Tan Hung Ward Police, in coordination with Phu My Hung security, invited the restaurant owner to the station for further working procedures.
The quick and decisive actions of the Phu My Hung security force successfully prevented the fire from spreading, safeguarded many people, and minimized property damage.
