The ICIA (International Creativity and Innovation Awards) is an annual international competition (since 2021) that honors innovative initiatives and projects by young people (ages 9–17) and young entrepreneurs. The competition aligns with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate action, quality education, clean energy, environmental protection, hunger eradication, and poverty reduction.
In Vietnam, the competition is organized by the Innovation Institute of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, providing opportunities for participants to bring innovative ideas to the global stage. Through this competition, participants can showcase their strengths, develop teamwork skills, enhance problem-solving abilities, and gradually transform ideas into practical solutions.

At the National Round of ICIA 2026 in Vietnam, two student teams from Lawrence S. Ting School achieved outstanding results, winning one First Prize and one Consolation Prize. With the First Prize, the LSTS EcoVator team from Lawrence S. Ting School—comprising students Nguyễn Lê Minh Quyên (Grade 7A2), Nguyễn Minh Duy (Grade 7A2), Bùi Trần Tiến Đạt (Grade 7A2), under the guidance of teacher Christopher Miller—officially became Vietnam’s representative at the Global Finals. The event will be held at Paragon International University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in April.
