After many years of pursuing his passion for photographing migratory birds, photographer Minh Qu\u00e2n was still astonished when, for the first time, he witnessed dozens of Oriental darters \u2014 classified as Group 1B in Vietnam\u2019s Red Book, a category for species threatened with extinction \u2014 feeding, resting, and soaring across the skies at Crescent Lake (Phu My Hung City Center).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery year, my fellow photographers and I wait at Crescent Lake for the darters to migrate here to feed, but I\u2019ve never seen them arrive in such numbers. In previous years, there were only two or three, but this year I counted more than 30. It\u2019s truly surprising \u2014 a very positive sign that the natural environment here is thriving. Luckily, I managed to capture photos and videos of that moment; otherwise, as we jokingly say, if I only told the story, no one would believe it\u201d, Minh Qu\u00e2n shared enthusiastically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
